Good intercontinental (cultural) relations require continuity and dialogue. Austrian-Ghanaian, Ghanaian-Austrian relations aim at process-oriented approaches. I have the pleasure to accompany the Austrian Foreign Ministry/Austrian Cultural Forum in this endeavour with my expertise. A few days ago, the opening of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Ghana took place. A moment of celebration which was complemented with strategic activities with Austrian and Ghanaian stakeholders – a whole week of intensive exchanges, enlarging of networks and building ties of friendship between the cultural and scientific scenes of both countries. The rich cultural and scientific landscapes of Ghana offer substantial opportunities for international and intercontinental cooperation. Common histories of the present and the past are manyfold, listening and dialogue are key qualities to bring better relations into practice. Looking forward to many more inspiring moments!
